AISNSW Governance Workshop
Entitled "Common Governance Issues in Montessori Schools", this AISNSW workshop is for Principals, Business Managers and Board Members of Montessori schools.
This workshop has been designed to meet the NSW Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) mandated requirements of: the completion of a minimum of four hours professional learning with regard to governance issues for all responsible persons for the school each year to be delivered by a BOSTES approved training provider.
Purpose of the workshop:
• to raise awareness of governors’ legal obligations as directors of public companies
• to examine the relationships between the school board, the chair of the board, the head of the school and the business manager
• to promote best practice in the governance of independent schools
Registration is complimentary for AISNSW member schools. Interstate Montessori schools are welcome to attend.
