Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Part-time
Position
We are looking Montessori Trained Teacher (ECT) for a maternity position, from Term 2024 to March 2025.
This is a part-time role, covering 3 days of teaching, Wednesday-Friday.
Location and Organisation
One and a half hours south of Sydney in the city of Wollongong, New South Wales. Founded in 1973, Elonera Montessori School is an independent coeducational school offering quality education from 12 months to 18 years. The School is situated near the ocean as well as close to the University of Wollongong and other educational institutions.
Responsibilities
- Implement teaching and learning experiences for your students, and meet their individual needs and diverse cultural, social and linguistic characteristics
- Develop safe, positive and productive learning environments where all students are encouraged to participate
- Implement the Montessori National Curriculum
- Use a range of sources to evaluate your teaching including reflective practice to adjust your program and better meet the student needs
- Collaborate with a team of staff to provide a Montessori prepared learning environment
- Embody the early years code of ethics
- Apply the Early Years Learning Framework
Essential
- Montessori qualification (AMI, AMS or MWEI) or willingness to complete foundation or orientation courses.
- Experience working within a Montessori School environment
- Excellent IT, verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly and motivated
- Ability to be flexible
Salary Range
- Dependent upon qualifications and experience – between $60000 and $80000
