Californian Lectures of Maria Montessori

In 1915 Maria Montessori delivered a series of lectures at the California while visiting the Exposition where her glass-enclosed demonstration classroom was located. The views expressed in them represent a fascinating mixture of old and new educational theory, many representing an important, radical departure from contemporary opinion and involve pedagogical techniques and health issues concerning children which are only now being popularised by educators and discovered by medical scientists.
