Ranu James is a proud Papuan Australian woman who holds a M.Ed. in InternationalStudies. She has been an educator for over 30 years, 19 of those years working withchildren, families and educators in remote Aboriginal communities in the NorthernTerritory. Ranu is the Director and Cultural Consultant of her cultural consultancybusiness, Weaving Cultural Stories and has worked in many roles within the Educationand Community Services sector including music and preschool teaching, managingteams, licensing and regulating Childcare Services, TAFE teaching, early childhoodconsultancy, inclusion support and resource development. Ranu also has over 20 years’experience as a facilitator, bringing together people to share knowledge andexperience of culture, enabling them to develop culturally inclusive programs.
