Mandy Lauderdale has been a Montessori educator for over 20 years, during which time she has worked as a classroom assistant in the primary years in Montessori schools in South Africa and in Australia. She has both directed and co-taught in primary classes, worked in special ed, facilitated OSHC programs, owned and run a Montessori Family Day-care program, worked in the early years and led a childcare centre in the role as Educational Leader, mentoring and coaching educators on their Montessori journey in their classroom management and child development. At the same time, completing her AMI Montessori studies in the 3-6 years and then the 6-12 years in Brisbane and Sydney. She also completed an AMI Orientation course in the 0-3 years and an AMI Administrators course around leadership. Mandy’s true passion lies in the development of the child from 0-15 years and bringing Montessori education to the wider community. Mandy is also a dedicated mother and step-mother to 4 Montessori children and married to a Montessori educator of nearly 30 years. Mandy believes that Montessori is Learning for Life in every aspect and is for everyone no matter where you may be on your parenting or teaching journey. More recently Mandy has completed a Positive Discipline Parenting Program developed by Jane Nelson and Positive Discipline for Educators Course with Chip Delorenzo from the US.
