Laurie is the Upper School Program Director at Hershey Montessori School in Ohio. She was the founding Head Teacher of the Hershey Adolescent Program in 1996 and helped to design and implement the farm environment and curriculum for the Hershey Adolescent Program, a Montessori residential farm school for 12-18 year-olds. She has a B.A and M.A. in English and taught college writing for 9 years before joining Montessori. She has AMI training at the 3-6 and 6-12 levels and is a Course Director for the AMI-NAMTA Orientation to Adolescent Studies. Laurie has guided Occupations and Humanities Projects, Upper School Language Arts, as well as workshops in writing, grammar, and literary analysis.
