Ineke began her teaching career in 1993 whilst in her late 30’s and living in Singapore with her family. She commenced her training externally with the London Montessori Centre whilst she lived in Singapore, and then the Montessori World Education Institute when she returned to Perth. She then went on to be a teacher assistant (at Beehive Montessori School), a Children’s House teacher, 6-9 class teacher, 9-12 class teacher and Director of Teaching and Learning (at Perth Montessori School, now Perth Individual) and then Principal of Riverlands Montessori School (2008-2018).
During her career in Montessori education, Ineke has also been a tutor, trainer and National Director of MWEI as well as being involved in mainstream teaching organisations such as the Professional Teaching Council both at state and national level.
Ineke retired from full-time work in December 2018 and since then enjoys her leadership roles in Rotary.
