David completed his primary and secondary education in the Netherlands and had a love of mathematics.  In 1973, he started working at Modern Teaching Aids in Australia and spent 30 years in the company working across Australia and managing a staff of 15.

In 1998 the Nienhuis Montessori agency was added to his responsibilities, bringing him in direct contact with Montessori schools. This experience saw him grow into the Montessori training space. Alongside Willemien Duyker, who was founder of Kingley Montessor School in Western Australia, David spent two years working in the space of Montessori training.

In 2003 David left Modern Teaching Aids to start Think Education Supplies (TES), focussed on the Gonzagarredi Montessori and furniture ranges. In time this expanded to the ETC printed materials and the full Nienhuis range.

Today TES specialises in the full set-up of new Montessori centres across Australia and New Zealand. It has a loyal customer base and many repeat business.

David loves supplying Montessori materials and printed items and the set-up of new centres and has no intention of retiring. He counts everyone at Montessori his friends and he sees  Montessoiri has a bright future in Australia.
