Chiray has been working alongside, guiding and inspiring adolescents her entire working life, having begun her career as a secondary school teacher in 1990. In 2005 Chiray established what is now, the Montessori International College adolescent community. A year later she completed her Montessori Orientation to Adolescent Studies which she found challenging and profoundly transformative. These experiences continue to infuse her daily work. In 2008 Chiray was appointed as the founding Principal of the Montessori International College, beginning a remarkable journey for the college and for herself. Chiray’s compelling leadership has led Montessori International College through significant organisational and cultural changes to realise the school community’s preferred future. Her sensitivity, understanding, openness, adaptability and courage are the keys to her success.
