Cathy Duvel is a founding member of the Time To Think Collegiate in Australia, specialising in the process called The Thinking Environment®: what it takes to create environments where independent thinking can be cultivated and flourish.  She is passionate about enabling organisations to cultivate environments that support individuals and teams to become their best; and do their best for themselves, their businesses and communities. Incorporating the latest research from neuroscience with leading edge models and processes, they design and deliver programs tailored to the clients’ needs. Their purpose is to enable each client to develop their capacity to lead, through cultivating environments that foster independent thinking, teamwork and the achievement of goals. Together with their clients, they create relationships built on trust and safety, integrity and mutual respect, which enable clients to confidently explore their strengths and challenges as leaders.

Cathy and her co-founder, Mary Maddock, were keynote speakers at Montessori Australia's Early Childhood Best Practice Conference on 11 & 12 March 2023 (Gold Coast).  In their session, entitled "Generative Attention to Cultivate Independent Thinking" they shared with delegates activities to practice and receive Generative Attention and discussed how it can be used in the classroom for the benefit of the developing child, as well as in the relationships between educators and families.

Through their company, About Learning, they offer leadership development and executive coaching and run Thinking Environment courses.
