Tea is an AMI qualified teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Music, a Bachelor of Education and Masters in Educational Administration. Prior to finding Montessori, Tea worked as a primary and high school teacher for 10 years. After having her first child she looked into alternative teaching models. She started working at Montessori East in Bondi in 2014 with Raji Sivapalan where she discovered her passion for guiding young children and their families. In 2018, Tea completed her Assistance to Infancy Diploma and Post Partum Doula Course. Together with Siobhan O'Gorman, Tea has developed a Matrescence program for both mothers and educators to help them understand this very important stage of development.
