Abigail Weldon-Chan holds a Masters in Early Childhood Teaching from the University of Melbourne and has worked as a teacher and teacher trainer in Primary, Secondary and Early Years settings across Australia, China and the United Kingdom. While completing her Masters thesis entitled “Toward consistent quality performance in Australian education and care settings”, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Melbourne, developing training on the newly introduced National Quality Framework. Since then she has written further materials and delivered training to Authorised Officers using the National Quality Standard in settings across Australia. For the past year she has worked at ACECQA, most recently managing the Operations team responsible for the Ratings Review and Excellent Rating processes.
