The Gap Cubbyhouse Montessori (TGCM) is a 95 place family-owned child care centre. We engage a holistic approach using our partnership with families to support the children's learning through Montessori. Our passionate team have built a strong rapport with all families and children as we believe in preparing the children for life. We come from a range of backgrounds and bring a diverse strengths and experience to the centre.

About the role

We are looking for a full time permanent assistant to join our family.

As a Montessori Assistant Educator and an advocate for Montessori Education, you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day running of our Classrooms.

This includes:

• ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in a clean and hygienic environment
• planning, aiding and encouraging the growth of each child's independence according to the Montessori philosophy
• demonstrating a working knowledge and adhere to the EYLF + NQF
• being a positive role model to the children and fellow Educators in all aspects of the room, routines and practices
• supervising children at all times, guide and re-direct when necessary
• supporting all the children in the room, and respond sensitively to their individual education, social and emotional needs, treating all children equally and respectfully
• maintaining an orderly Montessori environment in which furnishings and materials are clean, complete and appropriate to the developmental needs of the children

Qualifications and experience

• Completion of Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services (or approved equivalent), or be enrolled and actively completing a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services.
• Preference will be given to applicants with a Montessori qualification, however, eagerness and willingness to participate in studies will be strongly considered. Quality training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Experience within the Early Childhood sector Current First Aid and CPR certificates Current Working with Children Check
• A strong inclusive team member
• Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders Articulate well verbally and in writing
