$38 – $50 per hour

Armidale Montessori Preschool is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) for a full-time position, for an August 2024 start.

About the Role

The role of the ECT will be to supervise and guide the delivery of the set Montessori program and to work as part of the management team to provide professional leadership and management to a team of dedicated and passionate educators. Montessori training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Essential Criteria:

• ACECQA approved and accredited Degree in Education (Early Childhood/Primary)
• Current Working with Children Certificate
• Minimum 1 year experience working in a Long Day Care or Preschool setting in a leadership role
• Understanding of Child Protection Laws and the responsibilities associated with being a Mandatory Reporter
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the Laws, Regulations and National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience working in the capacity of an Early Childhood Teacher
• Experience working within a Service delivering a Montessori educational program, or training in the delivery of a Montessori educational program
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development
