Comparison of Montessori and Middle Schools: Motivation, Quality of Experience and Social Context

The centrepiece of this Summer 2003 'NAMTA Journal' (Vol. 28, No. 3) describes the results of research conducted by Dr. Kevin Rathunde of the University of Utah. Students in Montessori middle schools reported more positive motivation and experience than a matched sample of students attending traditional middle schools.
