The Montessori ECEC Conference, held at the Twin Towns Resort on the southern Gold Coast, was by all accounts a resounding success. We literally doubled the numbers who attended and had to book a bigger room at the venue to accommodate. This year the theme was The Nature of Montessori with speakers covering topics on the outdoor environment and sustainability, as well as topical issues such as technology in the classroom and the NQF.
The event kicked off with a cocktail reception on the Friday night giving everyone a chance to mingle and network with a drink in hand and canapés aplenty. It was also a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome new faces that had not previously been to our events and we would like to thank Guild Insurance for sponsoring the event.
The two-day conference included breakout sessions on hot topics which were well received by the delegates. During the breaks everyone assembled in the Stars Room for the delicious catering and colourful exhibitors.
We thank everyone for coming and look forward to planning and even bigger and better event next year.
