Casa 3 - 6 and 0-3 Montessori Directress

About the role

Due to our program expansion, Heathmont Bilingual Montessori Early Learning seeks a passionate and experienced Montessori Directress to join our dedicated team. As a Casa 3 - 6yo or Infant Toddler 1-3yo Montessori Directress, you will be responsible for nurturing and guiding the development of children in our care, fostering their natural curiosity and love of learning through the Montessori approach. This full time or part-time position will be based in Heathmont, VIC.

What you'll be doing

• Implement the Montessori curriculum and philosophy to create a stimulating and enriching learning environment for children aged 3-6 OR 1-3
• Observe and assess children's progress, adapting lesson plans and activities to meet their individual needs and developmental stages
• Prepare and maintain the Montessori classroom, ensuring it is clean, organised and equipped with appropriate materials
• Foster positive relationships with children, families and the broader school community
• Collaborate with the teaching team to share best practices and continuously improve our Montessori program
• Participate in staff training, professional development and meetings to stay up-to-date with Montessori pedagogy

What we're looking for

• Montessori teaching qualification ( or working towards) and experience working in a Montessori early learning setting
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Montessori philosophy and curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children's holistic development
• Current First Aid certificate, including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management
• Valid Working with Children Check
