Room Leader (Preschool)

Position: Pre-Montessori Room Leader (1.5 – 3 year olds)
Location: Nurture Montessori in Victoria Park
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one
· Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
· First Aid and Anaphylaxis Training or willingness to obtain certification
· Diploma of Early Education and Care or ACECQA recognised Early Childhood qualification
· Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a Montessori setting
· Strong leadership and organizational skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
· Ability to work flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts
· A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Lead and manage the Pre-Montessori Room, ensuring a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children aged 1.5-3 years.
· Plan and implement age-appropriate Montessori activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
· Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, creating a supportive and inclusive community.
· Oversee daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor play.
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and centre policies.
· Conduct regular observations and assessments to track children’s progress and development.
· Collaborate with other educators and staff to maintain a cohesive and effective team.
