Adolescent Guide: Middle School Occupations Guide
Humanities experience is a plus as this is an 'enlightened generalist' role

DESCRIPTION
The Occupations guide will cultivate in students qualitative thinking, problem-solving, and
critical thinking skills that prepare them to successfully develop their passions for mathematics, technologies and the sciences and to take these on to senior-level study. The guide will foster an integrated and practical appreciation of applied STEM subjects through an interdisciplinary, land-based project approach. He or she will facilitate related
aspects of the middle school curriculum, including micro-economy, student electives and field trips. The guide will create an environment that is conducive to the growth and development of adolescents in the realisation of their fullest learning potential.
QUALIFICATIONS
- a comprehensive understanding of Montessori methods and pedagogy; Adolescent plane
- teaching qualifications in related subjects and/or primary teaching generalist qualification
- ability/qualifications to register with the General Teaching Council of Scotland
- excellent verbal and written skills with students, colleagues and parents
- demonstrated organisational skills
