St Pius X is offering an exciting opportunity for a Montessori primary classroom teacher to join our passionate and dynamic learning community in Term 4 2023.

St. Pius X Primary School is seeking applications for the a Montessori Teacher. The applicant will be skilled and qualified to lead an authentic Montessori classroom within a Catholic Primary School.

This is an opportunity to be a part of a vibrant school community with a dedicated staff and committed parent body. Our Montessori classrooms run alongside our Mainstream classrooms.

You will guide children in a prepared environment offering a full selection of materials and various outdoor areas as integral parts of the child’s learning experience. You will be open to working with a supportive team dedicated to upholding the principles and methodology of Dr Maria Montessori and the St. Pius X Catholic philosophy and identity. It is important that you are able to respond to individual student needs and abilities, and that you value children’s academic, social-emotional and spiritual growth.

About the Role:

• VIT Registered (Early Years Qualified Teacher Accepted)
• Full-time position
• Start date Term 4, 2023 preferably or to start Term 1 2024
• Montessori training available

About You:

The successful candidate will be a passionate educator with an embedded understanding and appreciation of the Montessori philosophy. You will have a current VIT registration (Early Years Qualified Teacher Accepted). Montessori teaching qualifications are preferred but not necessary, as Montessori training is available. You will be committed to acknowledging and demonstrating the values of our Catholic identity. You will have a strong desire to work within a collaborative, authentic Montessori environment, the ability to promote a positive and supportive ethos for students where all are encouraged and challenged to achieve the best they can.
