Primary St Pius X is offering an exciting opportunity for a Montessori classroom teacher to join our passionate and dynamic learning community in 2023.

St. Pius X Primary School is seeking applications for the position of Cycle 1 (3-6 year olds) Officer. The applicant will be skilled to assist in an authentic Montessori classroom within a Catholic Primary School.

This is an opportunity to be a part of a vibrant school community with a dedicated staff and committed parent body. Our Montessori classrooms run alongside our Mainstream classrooms.

You will guide and support children in a prepared environment offering a full selection of materials and various outdoor areas as integral parts of the child’s learning experience. You will be open to working with a supportive team dedicated to upholding the principles and methodology of Dr Maria Montessori and the St. Pius X Catholic philosophy and identity. It is important that you are able to respond to individual student needs and abilities, and that you value children’s academic, social-emotional and spiritual growth.

About the Role:

  • Teaching Cycle 1 (aged 3-6 years)
  • Full-time position
  • Start date Term 4, 2023 preferabley or to start Term 1, 2024
  • Montessori training available

About You:

The applicant is required to observe the care, safety and welfare of students which are embedded in the school's policies and procedures and support the development of partnerships between students, parents, community and school and other educational organisations to enhance positive connections and working relationships.

The successful candidate will be a passionate educator with an embedded understanding and appreciation of the Montessori philosophy. Montessori training is available. You will be committed to acknowledging and demonstrating the values of our Catholic identity.
