Montessori Trained Assistant (3-6) – Casual (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday)
Permanent Part Time Position
Castlecrag Montessori School is a parent run, not-for-profit, preschool and kindergarten for three to six year old children, located on Sydney’s North Shore, operating during the NSW school terms.
The school provides a rich Montessori environment that fosters a love of learning and a sense of community responsibility. We have a large, open classroom and a beautiful, natural, outdoor play space. Dedicated, happy staff demonstrate a strong sense of collegiality and the school community is warm and welcoming.
We are now inviting expressions of interest for Montessori trained assistants to work on a casual basis in our 3-6 classroom. We currently have a vacancy on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (8am – 3.30pm) – with the possibility of additional hours throughout the week.
Applicants will need:
- A firm commitment to the Montessori Method and philosophy
- AMI Montessori Assistants Certificate (3-6)
- Cert III or Diploma in ECEC
- Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current working with children check
- Patience, kindness and a good sense of humour
- Sound communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow directions
Salary, benefits and entitlements are paid under the Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi Enterprise Agreement 2021, in accordance with qualifications and experience.
