The Role

We currently have exciting permanent full-time opportunities available for Educators/Lead Educators with a completed Montessori education Diploma to work with a strong and experienced Director and a team of highly motivated Educators who value working in the early childhood sector.

We want you to be as passionate about Montessori curriculum, early childhood education and are as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting/Leading the development and delivery of the learning program as per the Early Years Learning Framework and service philosophy
  • Complying at all times with the National Quality Framework, all relevant legislation both state and federal and the National Quality Standards
  • Establishing relationships and developing positive interactions with children, families and educators
  • Commitment to on-going learning and development as a professional under the Code of Ethics
  • Ensuring the health and safety of children 
  • Supporting the holistic development of children in early childhood 
  • Providing experiences to support children’s play and learning 
  • Using information about children to inform practice 
  • Identifying and responding to children and young people at risk
  • Providing emergency first aid

About you

While you may be interested in working with children, to be a successful Early Childhood Educator at Habitat Early Learning you:

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • A current Blue Card (or willingness and eligibility to obtain one)
  • A recognised Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care qualification or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA) 
  • Certificate / Diploma (or enrolled) in Montessori qualification or similar. 
  • Current or recent Child Protection training and a strong understanding of your role as a mandatory reporter
  • A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA, CPR, and approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Established skills in the areas of teamwork, flexibility & self-management
