Mojo Montessori ELC is looking for an Educational Leader /  Assistant Centre Director and Co-Nominated Supervisor who is passionate and enthusiastic about Early Years education and fostering positive family and staff relationships. We know we cannot do that without great people.  We provide quality education and care for children aged 15 months to six years in our family-owned and operated centre. Our program is structured around the Montessori pillars and aligns with and is governed by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), whilst providing a home away from home environment for all of our children.

We have a non-contact Nominated Supervisor in place and we are looking for an Educational Leader/ Assistant Director to provide Montessori mentoring and on the job training for our team. As the Assistant Director, the successful candidate will also be the nominated person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor, taking on responsibility within the centre for daily operations.

What are we looking for?

• Montessori qualifications (international accepted) including Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Masters in a relevant childcare course
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Montessori ECEC
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements under the National Quality Framework, EYLF and corresponding law and regulations, with the ability to lead and manage a team
• Previous management experience advantageous but not essential 
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and relationship skills, with a genuine empathetic manner – willing to build parent, staff and community relationships
• Reliability, trustworthiness, and integrity are essential
• Enthusiasm for working with and guiding a team
• Computer literacy important – willingness to learn new systems. Experience managing SmartCentral, Storypark, ISS, ACCS, NQATIS an advantage, but training will be provided
• Current First aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training (or willing to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check (Qld)
• Flexible with work hours supporting the opening/closing of the centre
• Organised and detail orientated
