Infant Community Room Leader

Absorbent Minds Montessori Early Education is currently seeking our full-time Montessori Room Leader for our final Infant Community (toddlers from 15 to 36 months old) classroom.

About us and the role

Situated in a picturesque location opposite an 18-hectare environmental reserve in Burpengary (State of Queensland, Australia), our Centre offers authentic Montessori early childhood education and care services, catering for children aged between six months and school-age.

Our mission is to provide Montessori foundations for life by providing our community with a quality and holistic Montessori environment where all employees and families can learn and thrive.

Our Centre is brand-new, Montessori-designed and purpose-built which opened in August 2022.  Prioritising the settling in of our staff and the foundation children at our Centre, we have committed to a staggered opening of our environments, with only five (5) of our eight (8) classrooms currently opened.

With our existing Infant Community classrooms now settled, we are seeking our Montessori Room Leader to open our last Infant Community classroom (toddlers from 15 to 36 months old).  You will be joining and collaborating with very experienced 0-3 Montessori Room Leaders with over 15 years in the Montessori industry and holding Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) qualifications.

Your classroom is already full with brand new custom made furniture and contains the full suite of brand new Nienhuis materials for this age group.

There will be 12 children (aged between 15 to 36 months) in your classroom daily, with the children attending on either the 3-day program (Monday to Wednesday), the 2-day program (Thursday and Friday) or the 5-day program (Monday to Friday).  Your classroom waitlist is full, and all these families are eagerly awaiting your arrival.

You will be supported by two (2) assistant educators and one (1) lunch/programming cover assistant.

We are dedicated to improving the working standard of early childhood educators and this is reflective in your commencing wage being substantially above the award wage.

We also are committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace for our people and our community.  Applications from First Nations Peoples, people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, abilities, and LGBTIQ+ identity are welcomed.
