About the business

We are a privately owned and operated Montessori service in Chapel Hill that embraces holistic inspired learning and development of our children. We provide spacious, well-resourced, and stimulating environments that enable educators to build strong, meaningful relationships with children and are supportive of children's strengths and interests. The purpose-built Montessori Children’s House is a long day care centre catering for children aged 0-6 years old for up to 75 children a day. With 5 spacious classrooms and with the new year 2023 we are all set to offer this rare opportunity to join the team.  

About the role

The service currently has a non-contact Nominated Supervisor and is looking for a full time Educational Leader/ Assistant Director to provide mentoring for our team. As the Assistant Director, the successful candidate will also be the nominated person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor, taking on responsibility within the team for daily operations.

Skills and experience

  • Must have demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large service including full understanding of compliance requirements under the National Quality Framework.
  • Must have previously had experience in leadership and a passion for mentoring. A commitment to high quality customer service and working closely in a team environment are essential.

Additional qualifications/skills:

  • Working with Children Check
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
  • Competency in using and understanding CCS software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
