Montessori Early Childhood Educator – 0-3 Team Manager

This is a full-time position in a 12-month contract initially, with the possibility of a permanent position. 

The successful applicant will preferably hold a Montessori Early Childhood 0 – 6 Diploma and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education (ACEQQA approved) with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with babies 6 – 12 months.

IMCH is a Montessori Early Learning Centre operating under Edmund Rice Education Australia. We have been providing Montessori education for over 30 years. IMCH has been rated Centre of Excellence by ACEQA and a rating of Exceeding National Quality Standards in all 7 Quality Areas of the Early Years Learning Framework.

We are located in the western suburbs of Brisbane, in a purpose-built facility with a bespoke outdoor adventure playground. We believe in child centred and inclusive education and foster a caring community that nurtures children, staff, and families.

Our staff are supported by specialist educators including three dedicated Educational Leaders who provide in-house training in Montessori, a multi-arts co-ordinator, outdoor co-ordinator, and an inclusive support co-ordinator.

About You

The ideal candidate will preferably hold 0-6 Montessori Qualification or be willing to undertake training in Montessori.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mature, experienced, and friendly person to join a great team of educators and support staff.

Create an engaging, high quality early childhood program for children 6 months to 3 years that reflects the Montessori philosophy, practice, and values of the centre.

We require an excellent level of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, children, families, and the community.

You must hold a current and valid Working with Children Card and First Aid

You will have an excellent understanding of Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standards, and Montessori National Curriculum.
