Part Time Educator

Our peaceful Community Kindergarten in Auchenflower is looking for a part time Educator for 2025. One of our full time team members is going part time, creating a sought after part time position.

We are a single unit kindy with one group of 24, three and four year old children, attending from 8-3.30pm on Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday with an optional Wednesday. 

About the Role:

• Group B - Thursday and Friday
• Hours 7.30am - 4pm including paid lunchtime with the children
• Attend 2 hour paid staff meetings, twice a term
• Opportunity to join an established community-run kindergarten with an Exceeding rating 
• Working in a beautiful Montessori environment which is respectful, inclusive, friendly, and fun
• Paid school holidays - work school terms only with one pupil free preparation day in each holiday
• Annual Leave Loading
• EA Above Award wage 

Key Selection :

• Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent ACECQA, or Cert 3 and working towards Diploma
• Montessori Diploma or working towards
• First Aid Certification 
• Ability to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card
• Ability to work in a Queensland Early Childhood Education service
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to children, parents and staff with kindness, warmth, and respect
• Ability to remain calm, kind, caring, consistent and professional with children and their families
• A willingness to work as a punctual, positive, and collaborative team member

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Work in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard, Lady Gowrie Community Kindergarten Policies and Procedures.
• Prepare the environment, create, and maintain activities and materials
• Support the children's independence
• Keep the environment clean and in good order 
• Report to the centre Director who is also the ECT and Educational Leader
