About the role

Building Futures Education are looking for an early childhood Trainer and Assessor to deliver the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. It will be highly looked upon for candidates who have a keen interest and experience in the Montessori method. This position is a part time position with 25 - 30 hours a week, for a 12 months fixed term with an ongoing contract for the right candidate.

As a Trainer and Assessor at Building Futures Education you will become an integral part of a close team of experienced and passionate trainers and assessors and will contribute to developing and delivering high quality learning experiences and training. You will be a proactive, independent Trainer who also works well as part of a passionate and supportive team.

Key responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to

  • Deliver quality face to face training sessions which are interesting, dynamic and exciting to a great group of learners.
  • Monitor and guide learner’s activity to meet their training goals.
  • Develop, implement and maintain learner training plans.
  • Liaise with early childhood education and care services; conducting workplace visits within South East Queensland, completing on the job training and assessment, observation and mentoring.
  • Completing administration tasks as required for compliance and reporting.
  • Contribute to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement as a training organisation.

Selection criteria

  • Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (essential)
  • Hold a current, or working towards, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) (essential).
  • Up to date First Aid Certificate and CPR or willingness to obtain.
  • Hold a positive notice blue card. Restricted persons need not apply. (essential).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to Early Childhood Education and Care, NQF and the EYLF with recent experience working in the sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to upholding quality delivery of the training package.
  • Holding a Montessori Education qualification is highly desired but not essential upon application.
  • Working experience with computers and applications (essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Open licence and a vehicle. Local travel is part of this role.
